War and Order Military Ranks: Merit Needed, Wounded % and Army Limit

All 17 War and Order military ranks from Sergeant to War Lord: merit needed, wounded %, wounded limit and army limit bonus for each rank.

Updated: November 5, 2026

The short answer

WaoHive's table lists 17 military ranks, from Sergeant at 200 merit to War Lord at 480,000. Each rank raises your wounded percentage by 1.5 points, from 1.5% at Sergeant to 25.5% at War Lord. From Sergeant Major on, ranks also add a wounded limit, and from Lieutenant Knight on they add army limit, which reaches 52,500 at War Lord.

These values come from player-collected data and have not been checked in the game. One row looks wrong: Commander-in-Chief shows the same 31,500 army limit as General, where every other rank adds 3,500.

Every rank and what it gives

Merit is the value the table lists for each rank. Wounded % and the two limits are the bonus at that rank.

Which ranks matter most

The army limit steps are even, 3,500 per rank, while the merit needed grows quickly: General to Commander-in-Chief is 22,000 merit, Legendary Marshal to War Lord is 120,000. Early ranks are the cheapest army limit you can get. Army limit matters because every formation in WaoHive is split by your March Size.
