About the Castle requirements table

This table lists every War and Order Castle upgrade from level 1 to Sacred Castle III (level 43) on one page. Each row shows the food, wood, stone, iron and azurite for that step, the buildings you need first and, up to Castle 35, the base upgrade time.

The early game is cheap and the end of the climb is not. Castle 1 to 30 adds up to about 684M food, 684M wood, 136M stone and 52M iron, and 630M of that food is spent between Castle 20 and 30. Stone first appears at Castle 11, iron at Castle 16 and azurite at Castle 31, which costs 4,810.

Base times follow the same curve. The steps to Castle 30 total about 159 days before speedups or research, and the single step from Castle 29 to 30 is 16 days and 7 hours. Every level needs the Wall one level below the Castle, plus a second building that changes from level to level.

What are the requirements to upgrade Castle in War and Order?: Each Castle level needs the Wall one level below the Castle and usually one other building at the same level. For example, Castle 25 needs Wall 24 and Depot 24, with 42.26M food, 42.26M wood, 8.46M stone and 2.98M iron.
How much does it cost to reach Castle 30?: Castle 1 to 30 costs about 684M food, 684M wood, 136M stone and 52M iron for the Castle alone. The Castle 30 step is 156.8M food, 156.8M wood, 31.36M stone and 13.27M iron. Required buildings cost extra.
